BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The victims of a 2005 Burlington carbon monoxide poisoning have settled out of court with the parties it claims are responsible for the tragedy.
The Burlington Free Press is reporting that the lawyer for 23-year-old Ginger Aldrich, who nearly died from the poisoning at her apartment, says the family is pleased with the settlement but would not say how much it was.
The estate of Aldrich's boyfriend, Jeff Rodliff of St. Johnsbury, who died in the poisoning, also settled out of court.
Both families sued the companies who built and maintained the Redstone Apartments and installed the heating boiler and pipe vent that malfunctioned in January 2005.
