CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department is offering women a chance to learn hunting skills in a special course just for them.
The course includes self-paced online study, a written exam and a field day in Holderness. The fee is $15 and participants must be 15 years old or older.
Participants first must complete the online study portion and exam. They then can register for a women only field day. The deadline to register is Sept. 28.
The field day will be Oct. 4 and includes written and field exams.
Students also will participate in a firearms handling session, a lesson on map and compass reading and a live-fire course. The web site to get started is: http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/Hunting/hunter(underscore)ed.htm.
