A moose hunter is in critical condition after being shot by another hunter who mistook him for a bear.
Vermont State Police say John Boppel, 46, of Ashland, Pa., is facing reckless endangerment charges in the shooting of Calvin Noble of Granby. Police say Boppel was moose hunting when he saw what he believed was a bear under a tree. Boppel fired one shot, hitting Noble in the hip area.
Police say more charges are possible.
