Dozens dined outside in the chilly temperatures Friday on Church Street. Crazy? Well, not exactly. The diners all donated $20.00 a piece to sit bundled up eating warm stew.
The point was not to freeze, but to raise awareness and money for the Committee on Temporary Shelter.
The group held the outdoor dining in hopes that people will have some empathy for the hundreds in Vermont that do not have a place to call home. No word Friday on how much money was raised.
