Two public hearings will be held in Montpelier Tuesday on proposed midyear changes to the state budget and on health care reform.
The House Appropriations Committee will take public testimony from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on a list of budget adjustments proposed by Gov. Jim Douglas' administration. The session is set for Statehouse Room 11.
At 6 p.m. in the House Chamber, the House Health Care Committee and Senate Health and Welfare Committee have scheduled a joint hearing on health care reform.
That session is likely to focus on how federal health care legislation impacts state programs.
