Low pressure grazed by the southern New England coast this morning, creating a swath of lightly accumulating snow for many parts of NY, VT, and NH. Generally, about 1-4" fell in residential areas with some slightly higher totals to near 6". Many ski areas picked up 4-8" of snowfall, wa-hoo! Here are some preliminary reports as of Friday morning at 10am...
Strafford, 4.3"
Ludlow, 3"
Pomfret, 3"
West Newbury, 3"
Marshfield, 2.8"
East Calais, 2.7"
Berlin, 2.4"
Hardwick, 2.2"
Waterbury, 2.2"
Underhill, 2"

Meanwhile, warm air remained for much of the Champlain Valley and some of southern Vermont. This kept many under a cold rain with wet snowflakes mixed in, and very minimal (if any) snow accumulation. The Burlington Int'l Airport will not be so lucky as to see a white Christmas. As of 10am, a trace of snow had fallen. This keeps the seasonal snow tally/total at 9.4" of snow. This is nearly 8" below average! By this time last year BTV had racked up nearly 22" of snow...... I suppose we'll have to wait for the next storm here in Burl for any decent snowtotals.
