Georgia Auto Parts Fire

Fairfax, Vermont- A Vermont auto shop is cleaning up following a morning fire. It happened around 10:45 at Georgia Auto Parts on Ethan Allen Highway.

The owner, who did not want to talk on camera says he saw a think layer of smoke in the attic, and called firefighters.

Crews were forced to cut a hole in the roof to fight the flames. The owner says there's no significant damage.

They were lucky the fire didn't spread to the rest of the building where highly flammable materials are stored.

No word on what caused the fire.
